Hi, I’m Julie!

I’m so glad you’re here! I wanted to share a little about myself and the heart behind WillowBee Photography.

My name is Julie (or Julia), and I live in Northeast Ohio with my wonderful family—my husband, our daughter, and our own little zoo! We share our home with two dogs, a cat, two bunnies, and two guinea pigs. So if you’re wondering whether your furry family member is welcome at your session, the answer is absolutely yes! Pets are family too.

Photography became a passion of mine after my mom gifted me my very first camera. What started as a creative hobby quickly grew into something much more. As I fell in love with capturing genuine moments and meaningful memories, I decided to invest in my dream and create WillowBee Photography—a business lovingly named after my daughter, Willow.

Outside of photography, I work as a paraprofessional in my local school district, supporting students in special education classrooms. This role has shaped who I am, both personally and professionally. It has taught me the importance of patience, compassion, flexibility, and creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable, valued, and included.

Whether I’m photographing a playful toddler, a shy child, a family with pets, or someone who simply needs a little extra time to feel at ease, I strive to provide a relaxed, caring experience where authentic moments can naturally unfold.
